Chelsea Smith was born and raised in Long Island New York. Being surrounded by art and creativity
from her family from a young age, wasn't hard for her to pick up an interest in the arts. Although fine
arts was her first love she decided to pursue graphic design, where she studied at St. John's University
and obtained her BFA. Studying graphic design has made her a well rounded artists, where it has
greatly sharpened her skills and has made her very versatile when producing her work.

 

Art has always been a channel for Chelsea to express herself through. She has been in many art
shows and exhibitions from displaying at MOMA to being entered into competitions. She loves creating
portraits that are detailed oriented and focuses on a specific message. Her latest works are centered
around self-love using symbolism to portray each message in her paintings. The mediums you will

often see her use are acrylic and oil paint.

 

Chelsea regularly showcases her work within the NYC area. Using various platforms motivates her to
keep creating great works of art. Chelsea currently focuses on producing and sharing her talents at

shows throughout the city.
